Government of Nepal has declared public holiday on the occassion of Tihar.

Holidy will be starting on 15th of Kartik and end on 19th of Kartik this year. For the honors of Yama; Lord of Death, Laxmi, the God of Wealth is celebrated this festival by the hindus for five days. Tihar is also known as Deepawali or Yamapanchak, and the festival emphasizes the bond among human and animals, wealth, success and  improves family bonding. 

In this material world, such festival can play vital role to involve all the people for the prosperous future for the society and nation.
